October November Giveaway

Thanks to all of you who came to visit me at the Trinity High School Choir Craft Fair! I had a great time (despite being ill and staying up rather late the night before) and met some really fun people. Once again, the letter prints were a big hit. With my updated catalog (twice as many letters!) everyone was able to find something for a unique Christmas, Wedding or Baby gift, or just something for their home. Of course, we sold plenty of the other items, so check them out in my store too.

The giveaway for this month is for a free Crayon Fold Up!
The crayon fold up is much like the crayon roll, but holds 12 crayons and features an extra flap for added crayon security.

PhotoVision Promotion

Last year I signed up for a sort of continuing education program called PhotoVision. What is PhotoVision? Here is how they describe themselves:

PhotoVision consists of 6 2-hour video DVDs a year, 1 mailed every other month, featuring leading photographers bringing you the latest and greatest things happening in the photographic industry. You'll see photographic styles and techniques, digital workflow, lighting and posing, Photoshop tips and tricks, hear innovative marketing and sales strategies, output alternatives, new hardware and software reviews and much, much more.

The information is helpful for beginning photographers and old pros, as the breadth of information on the DVDs is so large. I LOVE mine. When else am I going to be able to shadow a top photographer at a shoot and see how they work, will my daughter takes her nap in the next room? The cheapest continuing education photography class at my local college is $139.  And that covers only one topic and is taught by, let's face it, not one of the country's best photographers.

Why am I telling you all about this? Valleydale Farmers Market

Studio H Designs will be selling at the Valleydale Farmer's Market this summer on June 5th and 19th!

The Market is located in south Birmingham Alabama and opens May 15! It will be open every Sunday through September (closing date uncertain) from 8am- 12pm.  At the market you can buy fresh produce from local farmers, purchase unique arts & crafts, enjoy special entertainment and try tasty samples.

Quilting for Kids

The next newsletter will come out this week and in it will be the March contest, which will be won by email!

In the mean time, check out Quilts for Kids, a non-profit organization that collects fabric on it's way to the dump, makes quilt kits from them, and sends them out for volunteers around America to make. You only have to provide the batting and the money for shipping the quilt back to Quilts for Kids. They then send the quilts to kids in need around the world!
